Just Another Week

It was take your daughter/son to work day for Natalie and since she works in HR for the Department of the Army and hires the civilians that help our soldiers they had some great things set up for the kids.

She even got to meet the general. Natalie was touched that they took time out of their days to show their appreciation.

Sami was without a nap that day, so she slept while we waited for our table to be ready.

Texas Roadhouse has free dinners to kids with costumes on since we're exactly half way to Halloween.

An armildillo. Sami wouldn't go near it.

Daddy's girls
Tom met us there with Baby Z. She was at a dinner visit with her family but you would never know it the way she ate with us. This girl scrounges for food CONSTANTLY. Eventually she'll realize there's always going to be a next meal here.

Wyatt and Piper were here one morning. Five kids is crazy.

Michele quit her waitressing job and now cleans houses. Hope it works out for them. Charlie is still getting settled with his promotion.

 COLORING

He's finally playing in the sand again. He's got a phobia with insect and saw one in the sand  and he was terrified to be out there.

Fun Filled Week End

Friday,

Sami

The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs at the community theatre

Natalie found a single showing of this great play and invited us along. Tom was reffing so Charlie stayed with Z and Piper and even Michele and Wyatt came along. We loved it!

We had front row seats and Wyatt was a bit scared of the stage set up before it got started.

Saturday,

T-ball and The Playground

Baby Z and Piper

Thomas usually covers the Saturday games as coach but he had a funeral to attend so Tom had to take a couple of hours off of his job with the Ironbirds to cover it. He was having such a good time though we ended up playing three innnings instead of the usual two for the 4-6 year olds.

I threw Michele on bench duty

With our Nik

Wyatt

We have such a great playground at the end of our street.

 Sunday,

 Picnic at the Duck Park

He thought he should hold her hand to be safe.

He loves being a big brother. He asks about the other baby we had while he has been with us, wondering if he'll be back. It breaks my heart. He also mentioned his 'cousin' to the women in the church nursery. When I asked him what cousin, he said, Sami. I got choked up. This poor kid needs a forever home.

He loves his 'boo'noculars

Tom works ( I shouldn't say work because he enjoys it so much) Sundays during the spring and summer. I like to take the kids out, it makes the time go faster.

Not sure how much longer he'll be with us. He's having more and more behavioral issues that we feel a trained family would be better suited to handle. There is no end in sight for him returning home.

A week end away for our Texas sweeties

The Family Support Group sponsored a trip to new Mexico for the families of the 219th.

They wanted to share in the hotel room.

Green Grass!

Thank you Jen for sharing your days with us. What did we ever do without our phones?
