Fighting Sideways Pictures

The desktop computer is so much slower than my laptop. I'm going to have to get used to scheduling more time for myself to post updates. Back up plan is , Natalie is going to show me how to use my laptop as a CPU with my current monitor. I hate to loose the use of this CPU though, I have it set up for the kids to play their online games. I feel like stopping blogging but it is the greatest thing I have to leave to my sweeties so I will push through this glitch.
Anyway, on to the important things. The middle of February is always busy with Valentine's Day and Thomas' birthday and there's always those day to day things that keep us hopping.

Even sideways she's adorable

and the 100th day of school
don't Ella and Daddy look like it's been 100 years not 100 days

Sorry can't figure out how to turn this. It was right before I inserted it

He got to bring home the classroom Stegosaurus and write about it. He has come so far in the 5  months he's been with us!
Valentines Day brought TWO shipments of chocolate covered strawberries
Tom was a bit down because this bunch that Jennifer sent him was more than what he sent me and he doesn't like her spending that much. He also got me a dress that I was admiring for our 35th wedding anniversary celebration.

with chocolate

without chocolate
and his first 3D movie

and a visit for Natalie and Papa with the boys at school. Sadly it was the last one since their parents don't want us to interact with them anymore.

and a trip to Chuck E. Cheese on Presidents Day

We met his family there for a visit too

Always on the phone

HAPPY 34TH to our son!
When did I get so old?

and a picture from our Texas Sweeties

Eating the stink bugs we sent
and our great nephew turned one. Happy Birthday Simon!

and I could't figure out how toturn this picture CRAP
A moment's lapse in control is all it took to slow down my blogging to a crawl on this slowwww desktop. I got a little aggravated with a little boy who told me "no" and took it out on my laptop which I have only had out of the shop for a couple of weeks getting a new $300 hard drive, for the second time. CRAP I was sitting on the couch with it on my lap and slammed it down on the footstool and the corner of the monitor must have hit the wrong way. Not only did I crack the corner of the monitor and put the whole thing out of commission, I put a tear in my leather footstool.CRAP Just stuff right?
That wasn't the worst of my day. Our Sweetie's "numbers" were the worst he has had since he's been with us.CRAP Starting out with his morning shots going awry when I pulled the syringe out too soon.CRAP He then had an ENT appointment where we found out he'll be having surgery, not the easiest thing to do with a diabetic considering the fasting and then lack of appetite and pain to follow.CRAP
THEN I went out to the car to pick up Sami from school and the car was dead. I mean turn the key and silence dead (got a new starter). Of course no neighbors were home. Tom was still at the doctors visit and Thomas and Natalie weren't answering their phones. That's when I realized I do not have phone numbers for Sami's school or Thomas or Natalie's secretaries'. CRAP  Natalie finally got out of her meeting and got a hold of the school and Sami was rescued.
Now all I needed was a drink and some chocolate but wait I'm doing Adkins. CRAP

A Week End in Ocean City

No, it wasn't a romantic getaway. It was a diabetic convention and we not only took our four year old diabetic, we took our two redheads AND we met up with our foster son's family. It was a very interesting week end.

Yes, we had donuts and he had a small slice of pizza, apple and milk. It was a learning experience being out of our comfort zone

 Crafts for the Kids

while the grown ups were in class

He wore his cape again that Jen made him and it was a big hit

Ella making friends

ZUMBA for the kids, look at Pops taking pictures

We stayed at

The Carousel,

they had a great game room

and an ice skating rink

counting her candy

and a great view

 we used the pool though

not the ocean for our swimming

Just us girls snuck out for awhile. Our Foster son swam with his parents later on in the day

looks like we were having fun ice skating, not so much

Ice skating looks more fun than it actually is

He was so tired he fell asleep with the rest of us still awake in the same room

He even slept through his blood being tested and and insulin correction injection

We had to walk the beach

before we left

Our Girls!

We even invited our foster son's family to join us on the beach

Ella is almost as tall as me now

Sami loved the beach and she said she didn't want to leave 'Texas' because she hadn't seen Johnny and Lily yet.
Not sure why she thought we were in Texas but it stung to the heart

Ella even took our picture

He loves walking the beach alone

She is such a loving little girl. My heart swells just being around her

It was very interesting. Not just to meet other families with diabetic kids but to see our little one interact with his family. I fear though it may be a while yet before they are reunited.
