Summer at Home

She's sitting in the rocking chair my Nanny bought me.
Typical 2 year old. Into everything that is not a toy.
Looks like after four months our little miss Z will be going to live with her grandparents. She has come so far! We hope she gets plenty of love and attention.

Look at her climb those stairs. She could barely walk before.

We've just been hanging out. The girls are with us a couple of days a week and Wyatt and Piper spend a day a week with us. The weather has been hot so we put out the sprinkler but it's been too hot in the afternoons for even that.

Sami finds her own way to play.
Carrying sand over to the roller coaster.
Whatever

Wyatt and Piper

Wyatt thought it was hysterical to be in the 'diaper' swing

Jen is getting creative with her material choices and styles for Lily's dresses
Getting ready for our Texas sweeties visit next week!

I spent an entire day picking out just the right pictures for my new frame. Still have one opening to fill.

Puzzles are great when it's too hot to be outside.
Papa took some of them to see 'Turbo' too.

Pink meat for lunch? Sure Sweetie, Grams can do that

Then the big news of the week. Tom had errands to run so he took Nik with him and brought me this!

2014 Ford Explorer. Must be all that money we're pulling in for the foster kids hahahahahahahahahahaha
Happy 35th anniversary to us
All I got him was a wallet.oops

July

We try to send our Texas sweeties something to remind them every week that we love them and what better way than a chocolate fountain. Jennifer was very receptive of it. I'm not sure her brothers would have been so grateful of a messy sugary gift. It seemed to make them happy.

Thomas and Natalie went on a road trip to visit her sister in Georgia and I was very happy to get picture updates of the fun they were having. What did we ever do before texting?!

Four years ago Ella and I went to the very same aquarium while on a business trip with Tom. I shed a little tear when she told me she doesn't remember but I remember and that makes me smile.

They act like brother and sister

Brother and sister 1985
Wyatt and Piper spent a day with us and that's always fun!

The corn is ready! We love it!
He said he had never seen corn look like this. I find that hard to believe but never the less he thought it was great.

SPRINKLER

ZZ spent the night with Aunt Chel so that I could take Nik to a fireworks show. Sadly it got rained out so we played in the rain at home. With his Anxiety and OCD these things can be pretty tricky. It's very hard to get him out of his routine and then to have to change plans again stressed him out. We handled it and made some good memories for everyone.
He loved the glow sticks!

He hated the lightning bugs poor guy.

Then we celebrated our oldest sweeties birthday. The party will be when Aunt Nenni is here in a couple of weeks so stay tuned
Aunt Nennii did send her a package and this cute dress that Ella picked out the material for was one of the things in it.
She was with us for the day since her parents were working. Papa took her shopping and to lunch. She fell in love with this calculator that gives a 'receipt'. She has always loved to play store.
They went to Build A Bear and she made Smurfette (with sound) They always ask the kids first and then look at the adult and ask if that's ok since it's an extra $7.  I remember that driving me crazy when our kids were little since sometimes we really didn't have the extra money.

Where has the time gone!

She also got an extra outfit, pj's for the sleep over that  night.
Her and I watched a movie and ate some snacks.

Papa gave up his spot in the bed for her

Thanks Papa
